Child support can be established in a number of ways, as part of a divorce or paternity case, or as a reimbursement case filed by the State of Kansas. The amount of child support depends on the residency order (where the children live) along with other factors such as the income of the parents and the cost of daycare and health insurance. Most important to remember is that child support is set according to the Kansas Child Support Guidelines.
