Post-divorce motions: Issues regarding the end of the marriage and the division of property and debt are final when the Court issues its final order in the divorce case. That final document is called a divorce decree. After the issuance of the decree, however, the Court continues to have the authority to change orders relating to the children, until the children are grown, as well as orders of spousal maintenance.
